Diciamolo: in Italia se qualcuno parla di sigari con fascia Connecticut, viene considerato un blasfemo. Comunque questo Connecticut non è come lo si aspetta. Questo double toro presenta una capa liscia e setosa dal color oro ed adornata dalla classica anilla di casa Oliva. Il sigaro profuma di fieno e incenso.

Stranamente i primi puff dopo l’accensione sono di forza sopra la media e sanno di pepe bianco. Subito dopo, la forza diviene contenuta e i sentori sono di fieno ed incenso. La forza aumenta progressivamente fino ad arrivare a media alla fine del sigaro. La parte centrale è caratterizzata da profumi di legno e frutta esotica , mentre il finale si riaffaccia il pepe bianco. Da notare: il sottofondo di incenso sempre presente e a naso si sente del pepe leggero. Sorprendente è la cenere che praticamente non cade, segno di un’ottima costruzione . La fumata dura 1 ora e 40.

Personalmente sono soddisfatto di questo Oliva, che ha il pregio di essere molto bilanciato. Un Connecticut con una marcia in più , forse perché togliendo la fascia è un puro Nicaragua.

Let’s face it: in Italy if someone talks about cigars with Connecticut-wrapper, is considered blasphemous. However, this Connecticut is not as you expect. This double toro has a smooth, silky and golden wrapper and adorned by Oliva’s classical anilla . The cigar smells of hay and incense. Strangely, the first puffs after lighting produce a medium body and scents of white pepper. Soon after, the strength becomes low and the smells are hay and incense. The central part is characterized by wood aromas and tropical fruit. The white pepper reappears during the end and body is medium. Note: the background of incense is always present and a slight pepper feels into nose. The ash just doesn’t want to fall off, sign of great construction here. The smoke is lasted for 1 hour and 40 minutes.

Personally I’m happy with this Oliva, which has the advantage of being very balanced. This Connecticut has something extra, perhaps because by removing the band, is a pure Nicaragua.
